Who broke into the Year 1 Bay and ate Baby Bear’s porridge?

This morning we received a message from Denton police station informing us that the Bay had been broken into!  We visited the crime scene, examined the evidence and created posters for the suspect. Have a look at what we found!

All about bears!

This week in Year 1 we have been learning about bears. We spent a lesson finding out about the brown bear and learnt where it lives, what it eats and how it is adapted to survive in its habitat! Please watch the amazing work we have created using Green Screen, iMovie and Explain Everything on the iPads!

1P retell The Bear in the Cave!

Miss Plant is very proud of 1P, who have been using Audioboo on the iPads to retell ‘The Bear in the Cave’. They speak so clearly, well done 1P!

Please listen and leave a comment below!

Where in the world do bears live?

Over the next two weeks, Year 1 will be learning about three species of bear. They will find out where each bear lives, what their habitats are like,  what they eat and how they are adapted to survive in their environments. Miss K has prepared some videos to teach us about the brown, polar and koala bear.

Do you know any interesting facts about bears that you’d like to share with Year 1? If so, please comment below!

Retelling ‘The Bear in the Cave’

Over the last two weeks we have been learning Michael Rosen’s ‘The Bear in The Cave’. Last week we made iMovies to retell the story and this week we have brought story mountains to life using the app ‘Thinglink’. Please take a look at our work below and leave a comment!
